Eglantelles®
The objective of any obtenteur is to bring of the novelty in a world of traditions. This pursuit incites the creator to show imagination by fetching in the botanical or horticultural heritage of new characters that he wishes to combine in the characteristics obtained in the course of the centuries by the work of obtenteurs.
That's what made Jean Baptiste GUILLOT for the hybrids tea or David AUSTIN for English roses by combining the Gallic characteristics of the pink of 17 e century to those of the varieties of 20 e century.
The wish of combining these suggestive qualities with the more modern characters of color and remontance was one of areas of research which led Dominique MASSAD to create a new family of rosebushes: The Eglantelles ®
